Rally tomorrow (Thu.11/8) AND call your legislators!

Hmmm…a lame-duck government until Jan. 3, leaving our country without meaningful congressional oversight for the next 60 days and loud rumors from various sources that Donald Trump Jr. will be indicted before the end of the year by the Mueller investigation…

What could go wrong?

Action #1 – Call your legislators and demand that Matthew Whitaker recuse himself from the Mueller investigation.

Sessions had to recuse himself because of a couple of conversations with Russians. His acting replacement, Matthew Whitaker, former legal commentator for CNN, was an harsh critic of the Mueller investigation, and publicly defended Donald Jr. in the investigation into his meeting with Russian operatives. In an interview, Whitaker stated “I could see a scenario where Jeff Sessions is replaced, it would (be a) recess appointment and that the attorney general doesn’t fire Bob Mueller but he just reduces his budget to so low that his investigations grinds to almost a halt.”

This is how a criminal lawyer thinks, not someone defending the interests of the United States.

Minimal script: I’m calling from {zip code} and I want Sen./Rep. {___} to demand that Matthew Whitaker recuse himself from the oversight of the Mueller investigation for the duration of his time as acting attorney general.

Additional script if you want it: …due to his history of advocating defunding and imposing limitations on the investigation and his active defense of a possible collaborator.

Action #2 – Join in! –  “Nobody is Above the Law – Mueller Protection Rapid Response” rally – Thursday, November 8th, 5pm local time.

The Nobody Is Above the Law network demands that Whitaker immediately commit not to assume supervision of the investigation. Our hundreds of response events are being launched to demonstrate the public demand for action to correct this injustice. If you are in Ventura, go here. (Facebook link)

Please meet in front of the Ventura County Government Center with your protest signs and best behavior tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 8 at 5 PM.

Trump crossed a red line today when he forced Sessions out and put a crony in charge of the Mueller investigation.

If you are elsewhere, go here to check for your closest rally. Over 400,000 people are getting ready to join in.

Action #3 – Watch this…Do not be distracted by arguments over the cost of the Mueller investigation.

The probe into Hilary Clinton’s email was conservatively estimated at over $20 million. The 2-year long House Select Committee on Benghazi, which helped prompt the email probe, cost over $7 million dollars. Almost $30 million dollars for which we, the taxpayers, received bubkes. However, that pales before the $56 million the taxpayers have spent so that our president could play golf.

Action #4 – Well, this explains why Trump and Whitaker get along so well…

Donald Trump’s new acting attorney general, Matthew Whitaker, was part of a company accused by the FTC of running what the government described as a multimillion-dollar scam. He was paid to sit on the advisory board of World Patent Marketing, which was ordered in May this year to pay a $26 million dollar settlement following legal action by federal authorities, for tricking thousands of aspiring inventors out of millions of dollars.

Does this sound like someone else’s self-named “university”?
